Resource Specialist students should be assisted within their regular classes by adaptation of materials or assistance from a Special Education teacher and/or Paraeducator. Instruction is focused upon the individual goals and objectives established for each student. These typically include goals and objectives in basic skills and self-concept.
Special Day Classes (SDC)
Special Day Classes are designed for students who require an intensive special education learning environment for more than half (50%) of the school day. A credentialed Special Education teacher, who is assisted by a trained Paraeducator teaches these classes. Instruction is focused upon the individual goals and objectives established for each student. These typically include goals and objectives in basic skills, vocational skills, behavior and self-esteem.
